Read the latest Starcraft 2 Battle.net features. The Starcraft 2 Battle.net panel at BlizzCon 2009 has just finished, and there's a lot of new nice features. Blizzi.com has made a summary of the panel.

The Battle.net Backstory:
 

  • Launched in 1996 with Diablo 1
  • Battle.net has more players than World of Warcraft

 
 
The new Battle.net will feature:
 

  • Better organized chat
  • Battle.net and Starcraft 2 will be better unified
  • Connect all accounts, and get the latest news etc inside Battle.net
  • Starcraft will have a offline mode
  • Battlenet will feature a replay function inside the game.
  • Improved automated matchmaking
  • Ladder play isnt just for hard-core gamers, ladder is designed for everyone.
  • Competitive arena for everyone.
  • Players compete within large leagues (gold, Silver, etc)
  • Battlenet will keep you informed about all the Blizzard games
